Darrien Hunt was just 22-years-old when he was shot and killed by two police officers in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Whether you feel his shooting was just, or unjust, the fact remains that his mother, Susan, has lost her oldest child. She is a grieving mother who is taunted daily by press photos of her child; accusations about his mental health; the fact his killers are still on paid leave; the fact that investigators are attempting to smear her name; all things that aren't revelant to the case at all. She moved to Utah for peace, and to raise her family of four children. She got the exact opposite. She needs someone to take her hand and grieve with her. She needs someone to say, "I'm a mother, too, and I feel your pain." And she needs to know that Darrien's funeral is paid for, that her other children are safe. That her youngest daughter will get the counseling she needs to deal with the shock of losing her hero.
